A reminder that we are having an "End of Summer" Swim Team Family Swim Night. It will be held Sun. Aug. 24th from 7:30-9:30pm. It will begin with a brief meeting at 7:30, followed by swimming, light snacks, and an encore presentation of this year's swim team videos. The swim team will provide drinks, and we ask that you bring a light snack to share. We hope that EVERYONE will be able to attend!! Also, there will be a sale on Gator Gear (20-50% off)from 7:30-8:30, so bring your cash or checkbook if you are interested. See you there!! -Kathy Aitken

All-Star Info. for this Weekend!

Hello All, Some reminders if you have swimmers competing this weekend or if you are coming to cheer on the Gators: Sat. All-Star Relays: Warm ups are 9:30-9:50am. The meet starts at 10 am. Those who volunteered to work as timers should be at the pool by 9:30am. The location is RMSC. Our team area will be near the steps that lead to the pool, by the spectating area. We will gather for lunch afterwards at a local restaurant, so plan for that, too. Sun. Individual All-Stars: Warm-ups are 7-7:20 for 12&under, 7:20-7:40 for 13-18. The meet starts at 8 am. there will be continuous warm-ups available throughout the meet at the far end of the pool. Location is RMSC. Same team area, unless Danny tells us otherwise. Those swimmers who are swimming in individual All-Stars or All-Star Relays this weekend who would like to order a t-shirt please notify me immediately (I must submit an order by 7/22). The sizes are as follows: Youth L Adult S Adult M Adult L Adult XL Cost is $17.00 Prepaid ($20 at All-Stars, but size availability and quantity are not guaranteed) Make a check payable to CB Swim Team and in the memo section write the quantity and which meet. 2008 CB Swim Team Makes CB History!

WOW! Our team moved up an outstanding 5 Divisions! To my knowledge, no other CB Swim Team has made such an impressive gain. Congratulations Gators, you can all be very proud of our accomplishments. Attached is the A Meet schedule for next year. Keep it handy when planning for camps and vacations. The B Meet schedule is tentative. -Kathy

The big events this weekend!

Wow! We are nearly there! I know a lot of you, like us, are working feverishly to get ready for Divisionals and the Banquet. Thank you. Here are some reminders: Pep Rally and Pool Set up: Tonight 6pm. Divisionals: CB Warm-ups tomorrow are at 6:45 am sharp. Parents, Courtenay and Charlyn will be fixing a great breakfast, so don't worry about having to squeeze in a breakfast at home at that early hour. The coffee will be brewing. Thanks so much for your work, ladies. (Charlyn, be sure to wear your apron, you know how the men love it!) The concessions stand could use one or two more assistants tomorrow. Officials need to be present by 7:20 am. Meet starts 8am. Banquet: We will begin serving appetizers at 5:30pm. Dinner service will begin at 6pm. Awards at 7pm, followed by the slide show. This event is being held at our pool, there will be tables and chairs brought in, but we will still have to use some of the pool's picnic tables and or chairs. You may want to bring picnic blankets. It is sure to be a lot of fun. Many thanks to Karen Byrne, who took on the large job of coordinating this affair. -Kathy

Officials/timers for Sat.

Hello to all! Once again I am groveling...this time it is in regard to Divisionals on Sat. I need one more timer. You would only have to time 1/2 of the meet. I also would love to have one more S/T. Tommy Cosgrove has already agreed to do S/T for me, but it is a long meet and I'd like to find someone to split it with him. He has not been able to cheer for his own children in an "A" meet all year because he is always working. On behalf of the team, I really appreciate all the assistance you all have provided for our many activities this season. -Kathy

Do you have a swimmer in All-Stars or All-Star Relays?

As a division, we must provide 5 workers for All-Star relays (to work as timers or take-off judges). CB has a large contingent of the division's representatives for the relays!! Therefore, I would like to put forward at least 3 people to work the meet. I would gladly to one of these tasks, but as the team rep. I am not supposed to do so. If you have a swimmer entered and you can work, will you please send me an e-mail? The relay meet usually only takes about 2 hours. Also, I need one timer for Individual All-Stars. Thanks for your assistance!! -Kathy

Urgent message about Banquet

Dear Swim Team Families, If you haven't signed up for the banquet AND (AND, AND!) paid for your family to attend, it is important that you do so TODAY. This is not an event for which you can pay at the door. The cost is $7 per swimmer, $10 per non-swimmer, with a $50 max per family.
